When we hear the word reparations we usually think about slavery. However, let's look at the definition of reparations and try to undrstand how we use the same priniciple when we have a break up. When we break up with someone we want closure. We want to fully understand how and why things went so wrong. And, if we want ot be truthful, there are those who want revenge so we use our children, pettiness and just evil ways to get back at those who have determined to have wronged us. So, let's step away from the ideas and horrors of slavery and let's use the term reparations in a loose form in today's discussion.

Narcissistic Abuser

Thursday Nov 26, 2020

Thursday Nov 26, 2020

Bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name. On this episode of My Life Has Destiny Podcast with you host Quint Jones and co-host Carmaria Fenton. We have an overcomer, a warrior, Ms. Angela Green. She is speaking on the Narcissistic Abuser.
From my experience with a narcissistic abuser, in a 10 year marriage, that I knew was over after one week, Was not the so typical abusive situation. Not typical meaning, I did not grow up in an abusive environment, I had two loving parents who were married for 27 yrs, until my mother passed in 1990. Never had been in any other abusive relationships really. So I believed I had a good foundation, knew what marriage was supposed to be like, and did not believe in divorce as a christian. Getting married at 36, I thought I was making a God decision, but soon found it was one of my own. Immediately after saying "I Do", I begin to experience almost all levels of DC. But I stayed because of what I was taught in church. But in prayer, I was released. Just want people to know, it could happen to anyone. Although I still have to deal with him because of a beautiful daughter,  through prayer, meditation, and a little studying of  narcissism, I'm better equipped to handle the fiery darts that at times, are still thrown my way. ...  Thank you

Burden of Proof

Monday Nov 23, 2020

Monday Nov 23, 2020

Lateley, I have been thinking that in my relatiosnships whether they are romantic or just with friends how they seem to be me trying harder and harder to prove that I am a good catch. I know that sounds weird, but think about tte time and energey we use to prove to those we profess to love that we do indeed love them. It is like being in front of a judge and having to present evidence that we love them. However, the problem comes in when we have to wait on the verdict to come back in our favor and the jury seems to be taking a really long time. so, we keep trying to find more evidence, strengthen our case, look for ways to more convincing. All the while exhausting ourselves and those around us have no clue. So, come join me and let'stry to get through this together. Not sure where this one is going, but I know the journey is going to be great.

Self-Preservation

Monday Nov 16, 2020

Monday Nov 16, 2020

We must understand that being happy is not a gift, but a product of the process and successful endgame of self-preservation. It is an instinct to keep yourself from harm, but what a lot of people forget is that a large part of our unhappiness, pain, and selfish behavior comes from what is going on around us. Join me as we try to get to the root of our happiness and try to share the process of self-preservation with those who fight just to smile most mornings.
